It all began with a “let’s see what happens,” says Anea Garcia. Back in 2014, she made the decision to compete in the Miss Rhode Island USA Pageant. She wasn’t sure whether or not she’d win that night. Anea had no pageant experience, barely had money to buy heels for the competition, and definitely did not know what to expect during the interview process. With all of that in mind, she still went for it. On September 15th, 2014 Anea was crowned Miss Rhode Island USA.

All of the contestants at MISS USA had the dream of representing the USA at the MISS UNIVERSE PAGEANT. Anea placed 2nd Runner-Up that year. Thinking back to that moment, she is beyond grateful to the judges and fans who believed in her potential.
miss grand Dominican republic
Not too long after competing at Miss USA, Anea was contacted by the Miss Grand Dominican Republic Organization asking her to represent the Dominican Republic in Thailand at the National Competition.
